1kg Good heirloom pumpkin peeled & sliced. Steam or briefly boil and serve with butter or savoury white sauce, add freshly chopped herbs. Or roast and serve, or puree roasted pumpkin on which to plate up your food. Make fritters for a side dish, or for dessert with cinnamon sugar. Recipe = 1 cup pumpkin cooked and mashed with a fork only. Add 1 egg beaten with 25ml milk. Then add 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 t baking powder 1/4 t salt, mix by hand.
